Word from the President

I hope you had a great summer and that you are looking forward to realizing all your desired outcomes this fall season. Your CANLP/ACPNL Board and Committee members have been working hard on your behalf and you will soon see the results if you haven't already.I am honored to have been given the privilege of leading CANLP and to have been so blessed with the talented and enthusiastic team that has volunteered to contribute. Our mission is to build community and conversation around NLP and so we are making changes! While improving communication between the CANLP board and you, the members, we are working smart to increase the value the association provides.

Your feedback will be vital in helping us achieve our outcomes and to provide real value to all members. We need to know what specifically you want from your association sowe can make it happen. We are waiting to hear from you! Some of the things we are doing, and planning to do, include:

  • Upgrading the website to be dynamic and interactive;
  • Organizing member discounts for services in complementary and related industriessuch as for massage, hypnotherapy, books, trainings, etc.
  • Providing our members and institutes with marketing tips and strategies to support and grow their businesses;
  • Providing member institutes with information on and advantages of CANLP membership that they can distribute to their students;

A monthly newsletter that will keep you up to date with what is going on in the world of NLP and with CANLP; and making discounts available from other organizations on our website.

Your feedback on these ideas and any other ideas you may have are important to the board. You can most easily communicate by commenting on the Forum of the CANLP website at

www.canlp.ca. I regularly monitor that area and will frequently read your comments and respond when appropriate.The field of NLP is fascinating, engaging, transformational, and its potential is limitless.Let us collaborate and support each other to put NLP on the map. By bringing your knowledge and skills to individuals and organizations, we can create the world to which we want to belong. Please communicate your ideas and appreciation through the CANLP website Forum.

Take care, stay well, and have fun!

Steve Whiteley; CANLP /ACPNL President
